Mathias Doumbe's 78th second red card assisted Town's progress towards a 3-0 victory over Plymouth. After Doumbe's dismissal for a professional foul on Jon Walters, Owen Garvan and Alan Lee put the Blues into a comfortable lead. Late on, Danny Haynes netted a third, Town's 4,000th league goal.

Town came from a goal down to beat Colchester 3-2, despite ending the game with 10 men. The U's controversially went ahead after Clarke had been denied a goal but Lee (pen), Legwinski and Haynes put Town ahead before the U's pulled one back from the spot, Wright having been red-carded for handball.
